How To Use Instapay On The Even App

GrabPay Philippines has now been added to participating banks and e-money issuers that use Instapay for money transfers. With InstaPay, you can now transfer funds to your GrabPay account in real-time from BDO and other participating BSP-supervised banks and non-bank e-money issuers in the Philippines.

To send money via InstaPay, customers need to access their bank's or e-money issuer's mobile app or internet banking facility, choose to send to another institution via InstaPay, and provide the required details.

For customers with BDO Online Banking account, below is the 6-easy steps on how to top-up GrabPay wallet using your BDO account via InstaPay in BDO Mobile Banking app.

1 Open the BDO Mobile Banking app. Enter your Username and Password. Tap the LOGIN button to go to your account.

2 From the bottom menu, press the SEND MONEY icon. Then, select To Another Local Bank option to start the process of money transfer.

3 Select the Proceed without a template button and click the CONTINUE button for the next step.

4 To send money to any GrabPay account, select GrabPay Philippines (GBY) in Destination Bank option. Then complete the details of Sender and Receiver, as follows:

Sender Details
- Settlement Type – Credit to Another Local Bank
- Transaction Type – Credit to Other bank
- Value Date – Date of transaction
- Transfer from – Select your BDO Account where you will deduct the amount
Amount and Destination Details
- Amount – Value of money to be sent
- Destination Bank – select GrabPay Philippines (GBY)
- Destination Account Number – Enter the 10-digit Receiver's Account Number/Mobile Number ( E.g. 927xxxxxxx)
Receiver Details
- Receiver Name – Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial
- Mobile Number
- Purpose of Transaction
Save Template
- Template Name
- Template Description

Review and make sure that you have entered the correct information. Then, click the CONFIRM button to process the request.

5 The transaction summary will show with the total amount you will send plus the service charge. You can also verify the sender details and receiver details before you proceed. Then, click the Continue button.

Note: The amount you have entered plus the service fee will be deducted from the account you have selected and will be sent real-time via InstaPay. If the transaction is unsuccessful, BDO will credit back both the amount and the service fee within 1-2 banking days.

Service Charge using Instapay was waived during the ECQ/GCQ or Lockdown period.

6 The detail summary of the transaction will show that the money was sent successfully in real-time via InstaPay. A reference number is also generated for the transaction.

Ask the recipient if the amount has been received in the provided account.

In the Grab app, the amount will be added to GrabPay wallet fund.
